Lacie and Boxer Rescue of Albuquerque needs your help
Tax deductible
Lacie came to Boxer Rescue of Albuquerque with injuries to her leg that indicated abuse. The person who surrendered her to us said that her last owner rescued her from another house and then was arrested so he asked this family to take her in. Her leg was broken but it did not look necessarily an injury caused by a car hitting as we were told. She never went to a vet, so it healed and shifted completely to the left.
After an initial evaluation, we decided to amputate because fixing it was not a guaranteed permanent solution, and she would have endured months (6 or more) of bed rest. At 7 months, we concluded that this was not a good option (she was already afraid of people but was very playful with every dog she met). Since the surgery, she is getting stronger and still wants to play as she easily adjusts to having 3 legs.
Donations can also be made directly to our TLC Veterinary Clinic in Albuquerque in person or via phone: 1720 Wyoming Blvd. NE and [phone redacted].
Simply Advise that your donation is for Lacie and use her account #176353.
Also, GoFundMe now has an option to donate to them for support. From what I determined, it is a set amount that they add to the donation. However, you can simply set the value to zero. If you already paid the donation amount, it can be funded. I am attaching what I googled on this procedure.
You can make a difference by donating today to Boxer Rescue of Albuquerque for costs to her surgery and her recovery. Of course, we accept and appreciate any amount that you can give!
