My name is Sarah Waldron, and I am a close friend of the Slade family.

Yesterday, we lost our beautiful Lachlan Slade in a tragic car accident in Belair, and our world has not felt the same since. Lachie was the most interesting person in the room, funny, kind, and genuinely one of the most special humans you could ever meet. He had a way of making people feel seen and loved, and his life was taken far too soon.

Lachie leaves behind his heartbroken mum Andrea, his dad Brad, and his brother James, who are now facing the unimaginable pain of life without him.

Right now, the grief is overwhelming. On top of that, the family will be facing the pressure of work at a time when simply getting through each day feels hard enough.
