Lacey’s fight and we need your help!

Sometimes life can change in an instant and for my little cousin and his family that’s exactly what’s happened.

My cousin Matt and his wife Michelle’s, 3 year old daughter, Lacey Tabone, was taken to hospital earlier this month because of trouble with her coordination and balance. She was admitted into the Royal Children's Hospital Neurology ward in Melbourne.

On the 8th of April, Lacey had an MRI scan and a 3cm by 2.5cm tumour was found on her brainstem. Later that week the tumour was biopsied and it has been diagnosed as a grade 1 Pilocytic Astrocytoma Brain Tumour.
Unfortunately, due to its position, it is very difficult to treat, and very high risk with surgery.

Over the last week Lacey's health has declined and another MRI has shown that the tumour has grown by another 5mm. Lacey is tentatively booked in for brain surgery on for Friday the May the 2nd. They will try and remove part of the tumour to take pressure off inside her brain while a chemotherapy plan can be made to try and treat the tumour.

Lacey has been so brave throughout this whole process. Michelle and Matt, Lacey's parents, have been by her side all the time, but they also have 2 other daughters and this is unfortunately not a quick fix situation.

It would be amazing if we could throw some support behind this amazing little girl by helping Michelle, Matt, Holly and Chloe to stay by Lacey's side in this fight.

I would like to thank you on behalf of all our families as we rally together to provide some practical support.

I Understand if you aren’t in a position to donate but if you can, every little bit will help.
