Hi! My names Lacey! I was born in December 2023. I weighed 6lb 4oz and was 19” tall! I was born happy and healthy to two knuckleheads that I call Mom and Dad. (They’re doing their best) Everything was goin all right, until I started having seizures at 8 months old. They started kinda weird Mom and Dad didn’t know what was going on. We’d be hanging out and playing when all of a sudden I’d just go all floppy for a few seconds. Right after we would go right back to playing! Things got scary on August 26th when I had my first big seizure. I was so scared, I didn’t know what was going on. Luckily my Mama was there, she held me and told me I was going to be okay. We took a trip in a funny car with lights and sounds to the doctors. We did some tests and the doctors didn’t find anything wrong, I also didn’t have any more of those scary big seizures, so they sent us home. Three weeks went by with no more of those scary seizures. Mama took me to some other Doctors and they didn’t find anything wrong with my tests either! September 13th was a fun day! I ate some fresh peaches, I picked some apples with Mama and I took a great afternoon nap! Daddy came home and Mama was making us dinner when it happened again. The big scary seizure. After another ride in the Ambulance the Doctors sent us home hoping we could get an MRI for that week. I started having more seizures the next day. Mostly the small ones but I had two big scary ones too. One at home and one at the hospital. The doctors now are getting me more tests and giving me all kinds of icky medicine. Mama and Daddy tell me that it’s going to help but I don’t like it. I’m hooked up to all of this wires that beep and all I want to do is bite them but they won’t let me! I hope we can figure this out soon. I miss my bed and my dog and cat:(
