Help & Hope for Lacey & Baby Owen
We Are Asking For Help to Fund the Medical Expenses Accrued for Lacey Jones Thomas & Baby Owen. Also to help keep her little household running for her 2 Small Children, Zaleigh (6) & Avery(3), who are waiting for their Mom& Baby Brother to come Home!
Lacey Jones Thomas originally of Thibodaux (Daughter of Mike & Monica Jones of Thibodaux) moved to St. Martinville once married to her husband, Trey Thomas.
Expecting a new little boy in June, Zaleigh was excited to become a Big Sister again & Avery
to become a Big Brother!
Lacey being 31-32 Weeks Pregnant, began
battling Fever, Body Aches & Weakness for
the last couple of weeks. She was tested for Covid which was Negative. Lacey was on Bed Rest for an already High-Risk Pregnancy.
Early Saturday Morning,(4/17/21) she was rushed to the Hospital with a High Fever.
Lacey later Coded & at that point it was
decided that Baby Owen be Delivered via Emergency C-Section. Baby Owen is in the NICU, Intubated & being closely monitored.
After many Scans, Bloodwork & numerous Tests, it was determined that Lacey is fighting Bacterial Meningitis (infection of the brain, Spinal cord & Spinal fluid). Lacey has been on Life Support since she was sent to the ER on 4/17/21.
She was transferred 3 hours away from her Family & Newborn Child, to receive Medically Necessary Care from Specialists. Doctors say it may take Weeks to Months to see if the Medication is curing her Infection. Lacey is a Registered Nurse & would help Anyone in Need. She is a Wonderful & Caring Mother, Wife & Friend! We are asking for help in Any Amount...No Amount is too small!
