This year, Kicks For Kids turns 10—and we’re honoring every step that brought us here.

But this milestone is bittersweet.

In 2024, my 22-year-old nephew was murdered in a senseless drive-by shooting—just blocks from where he grew up. His name, his light, his future—stolen. Sadly, he’s one of too many.

That’s why this year’s Back-to-School In-Store Sneaker Giveaway is more than a celebration—it’s a commemoration. We’re honoring his memory and the lives of countless others impacted by gun violence.

On August 31st, our Nike store event becomes a place of healing and hope.

Each child gets to walk in, choose their own brand-new pair of sneakers, and walk out with pride.
