Labrado's friends and family drive

Our friend José Labrado has a big heart. He has always opened up his home to those in need, and is constantly lending a helping hand. Recently, he and his family have gone through some hardships including a kidney transplant, which has resulted in high medication costs, and a family member accidentally wrecked the family car so now he is without transportation. Please support him by raising at least $4K to help get his life back on track.
He may not be big in stature, but those who know him can attest to the size of his heart. Below are some of his known deeds;
- Every April 15th he fills out the 1040 forms for many people, free of charge.
- Plays Santa Claus at the neighborhood community center. One year he bought a bicycle using his own money for a neighborhood little girl whose mom could not afford one.
- Fills out passport & visa applications for those in need.
- Has adopted several children who would otherwise not had a happy home.
- Worked diligently for 30 years at GE with the utmost integrity and often a kind word to say...always a gentleman.
It would make a huge difference to José's & his wife's (Herlinda) quality of life to not worry about skipping prescriptions or asking for car rides to the hospital. He's a friend please help with any amount you can to "pay it back."
I have been asked by GoFundMe to answer the following questions;
1. Who you are? My name is Fidel Kandell, a very dear friend of José and Herlina Labrado since the year 1999.
2. Where you're from? I currently live in Raleigh NC, but lived in the Tucson area from 1999 - 2002.
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for? I am close friends with the Labrados since 1999. I worked with José at GE from 1999 - 2002. I have kept in contact with the Labrados after moving out of AZ.
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible)? The funds will be used to pay for medication that has been prescribed to José by the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix AZ for a post-operative kidney transplant, and for purchasing a used car since José's auto was recently totalled by a family member. All the people who have donated so far are part of the very generous GE family.
5. How you intend to get the funds to those in need? José will have the ability to select whether he wants to receive a check or prefers to withdraw funds electronically. This will be his decision.
