In My Skin: Healing@ the Intersection of Race, and Economics: A Body Mapping Workshop Series
Healing and data collection for the Labor Pains project.
This project creates a safe and healing space for Black women to share their stories and experiences through body mapping. The workshops provide vital foundation for an oral history collection that fuels a powerful public art installation and performance in 2026, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Here's how your donation will make a difference:

* Expert Facilitation: A trained mental health professional will guide the workshops, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
* Commemorative Gifts: Each participant will receive a grocery gift certificate and an Audible credit for the book "The Garden Within" by Dr. Anita Phillips, providing tangible support and resources.
* Professional Photography: A photographer will capture beautiful portraits of the participants, celebrating their strength and resilience.
