La storia: il sogno di Chiara.

Buongiorno, mi chiamo Chiara Scamardella Hamnett Calpini e sono una discendente di Zaverio Calpini, un uomo colto e dallo spirito avventuriero che nel 1876 donò al Museo Civico di Torino la sua ricca collezione di oggetti di arte mesoamericana. Lasciò inoltre al Museo Galletti di Domodossola alcuni reperti archeologici ritrovati a Vanzone, una ricca raccolta di uccelli e mammiferi americani e, nel 1889, numerosi oggetti di carattere etnografico e archeologico provenienti dal Messico.

Ho una laurea in “comunicazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio artistico contemporaneo”, sono amante della cultura e della bellezza, credo in questi valori per il nostro futuro quello dell’umanità.

Da un anno sono diventata sommelier e ho un sogno: recuperare l’antica cantina su due livelli di una antica casa, ultima della mia famiglia Calpini, per dedicarla all’affinamento dei vini e incontri di degustazione guidati.

Questa antica dimora di cui in parte sono proprietaria, è situata in località Vanzone con San Carlo, nella verdeggiante val d’Ossola, in provincia di Verbania, in Italia.

Datata 1764, si tratta di un abitazione borghese, nel centro storico che sovrasta tutte le altre case del paese. Al suo interno è ancora abitata da un tempo sospeso fatto di profumi e piccoli suoni che si manifestano come autentico legame tra passato e presente.

L’abitazione ha una superficie totale di 470 mq. su tre livelli con un giardino in piano terrazzato di 400 mq.

Fino ad ora tipologie di case come questa non sono state prese in considerazione dalle autorità competenti per garantire loro un recupero poiché non possiedono le caratteristiche idonee per usufruire del 110%. Così come noi anche molti altri proprietari di seconde case ubicate in centinaia di antichi centri storici rimangono in uno stato di limbo.

Il nostro Paese Italia è il più ricco al mondo in beni artistici e culturali, ma siamo purtroppo i meno interessati alla loro conservazione….

La cantina e le casa hanno bisogno della manutenzione necessaria per adeguarsi alle conformità minime energetiche richieste per legge. E’ necessario rifare l’impianto elettrico, coibentarla, apporre infissi adeguati, recuperare il tetto, creare il sistema di riscaldamento, attualmente composto solo di camini e stufe.

Sono così costretta a trovare un capitale per supportare le spese iniziali per il recupero della casa e in particolar modo della cantina. Lavorando da pochi anni non possiedo la cifra sufficiente.

Sono in possesso del progetto per la casa e quasi tutti i preventivi, manca ancora il progetto per la cantina.

Con il vostro sostegno, non solo potrò effettuare un restauro conservativo di questa casa storica, ma anche creare uno spazio unico dedicato agli enoappassionati, dare vita a un percorso di degustazioni in cantina unite alla visita guidata alla casa.

Hello, my name is Chiara Scamardella Hamnett Calpini and I am a descendant of Zaverio Calpini, a cultured man with an adventurous spirit who in 1876 donated his rich collection of Mesoamerican art objects to the Turin Civic Museum. He also left to the Galletti Museum in Domodossola some archaeological finds found in Vanzone, a rich collection of American birds and mammals and, in 1889, numerous objects of an ethnographic and archaeological nature from Mexico.

I have a degree in "communication and enhancement of contemporary artistic heritage", I am a lover of culture and beauty, I believe in these values for our future that of humanity.

I have become a sommelier for a year and I have a dream: to recover the ancient cellar on two levels of an old house, the last of my Calpini family, to dedicate it to the refinement of wines and guided tasting meetings.

This ancient residence, of which I partly own, is located in the locality of Vanzone con San Carlo, in the verdant Val d'Ossola, in the province of Verbania, in Italy.

Dating back to 1764, it is a bourgeois house in the historic center that overlooks all the other houses in the town. Inside it is still inhabited by a suspended time made of scents and small sounds that manifest themselves as an authentic link between past and present.

The house has a total area of 470 square meters. on three levels with a terraced garden of 400 sq m.

Until now, types of houses like this have not been taken into consideration by the competent authorities to guarantee them a recovery since they do not possess the suitable characteristics to take advantage of the 110%. Like us, many other owners of second homes located in hundreds of ancient historic centers remain in a state of limbo.

Our country Italy is the richest in the world in artistic and cultural heritage, but unfortunately we are the least interested in their conservation….

The cellar and the house need the necessary maintenance to adapt to the minimum energy compliance required by law. It is necessary to redo the electrical system, insulate it, install suitable fixtures, recover the roof, create the heating system ,

currently made up only of fireplaces and stoves.

So I'm forced to find capital to support the initial expenses for the recovery of the house and especially the cellar. Since I've been working for a few years, I don't have enough money.

I have the project for the house and almost all the estimates, the project for the cellar is still missing.

With your support, not only will I be able to carry out a conservative restoration of this historic house, but also to create a unique space dedicated to wine enthusiasts, giving life to a tasting tour in the cellar combined with a guided tour of the house.
