LA Fires: Aid Our Brave First Responders
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nurah Abokar, and I’m a high school student at Palisades Charter High School, a community deeply impacted by the recent devastating LA fires.
These fires have not only destroyed my high school, countless homes, businesses and infrastructure, but have also pushed our city’s fire department to its limits. The brave firefighters of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) have been working tirelessly to protect our communities, often with limited resources. Now, it’s our turn to give back and ensure they have the support they need.
The LAFD has faced significant challenges, including a $17 million reduction in funding earlier this year. This makes it even more critical for our community to step in and ensure these brave first responders have the resources they need to protect us.
I’m raising funds to directly aid the LAFD by providing them with essential equipment, supplies, and resources to continue their heroic efforts. Every dollar will go towards helping these first responders, who have risked their lives to protect ours.
It's time for us to unite and come together and show what the true sense of COMMUNITY means.
