Un cortometraje sobre la infancia interrumpida por la violencia, contado desde la mirada de quienes casi nunca son escuchados.
Hola, somos el equipo de La estrella más grande, un cortometraje escrito y dirigido por Isa Mora Vera, producido por Michelle Silva, con el apoyo de las casas productoras Área 83 y Huasteca Casa Cinematográfica.
Estamos por filmar en Monterrey, con un equipo de profesionales talentosos y comprometidos con la historia y con abordar el tema de una manera respetuosa.

¿De qué trata?
La estrella más grande cuenta la historia de Rocío, una niña de 8 años cuya madre fue víctima de feminicidio.
Es su cumpleaños y, aunque no comprende del todo la ausencia, mantiene la esperanza de ir al río con su mamá, como cada año. Ahora vive con su abuela, quien también está atravesando el proceso de duelo de su hija.
¿Por qué hacemos esta película?
Porque el feminicidio no solo termina con una vida: también deja heridas profundas en quienes quedan atrás —especialmente a las generaciones más vulnerables—, quienes con frecuencia son invisibilizadas en el discurso social.
Queremos que La estrella más grande sea una ventana a esas voces silenciadas, y un espacio para la reflexión desde la inocencia y el dolor de una niña.
Isa Mora Vera, la directora y guionista, concibió esta historia como un acto de empatía, memoria y responsabilidad.
Queremos contarla desde el respeto más profundo, con una propuesta cinematográfica que entrelace la emoción con la identidad del norte de México: sus paisajes, su cultura y sus tradiciones.

El cortometraje se filmará en Monterrey y sus alrededores.
Esta no es solo una historia con identidad: es una historia contada desde esa identidad.

A short film about childhood interrupted by violence, told from the perspective of those who are rarely heard.
Hello, we are the team behind La estrella más grande, a short film written and directed by Isa Mora Vera, produced by Michelle Silva, with the support of the production companies Área 83 and Huasteca Casa Cinematográfica.
We are about to begin filming in Monterrey, with a talented team of professionals committed to the story and to addressing the topic with respect.
We want to invite you to be a part of this project.
What is it about?
La estrella más grande tells the story of Rocío, an 8-year-old girl whose mother was a victim of femicide.
It’s her birthday, and although she doesn’t fully understand the absence, she holds onto the hope of going to the river with her mom, as they do every year. Now, she lives with her grandmother, who is also going through the mourning process for her daughter.
Why are we making this film?
Because femicide doesn’t just take a life: it also leaves deep wounds in those who are left behind—especially the most vulnerable generations—who are often overlooked in the social discourse.
We want La estrella más grande to be a window to these silenced voices, and a space for reflection from the innocence and pain of a child.
Isa Mora Vera, the director and screenwriter, conceived this story as an act of empathy, memory, and responsibility.
We want to tell it with the deepest respect, through a cinematic proposal that intertwines emotion with the identity of northern Mexico: its landscapes, culture, and traditions.

The short film will be shot in Monterrey and its surroundings.
This is not just a story with identity; it’s a story told from that very identity.
