Most, if not all of you knew the beautiful and gentle soul of our querida mami, “la doñita” She served our community for many years as a street vendor. She made sure everyday when she went out that her tamales or elotes tasted the absolute best. Mami was such an amazingly strong women she would do anything and everything to give her family the best. She loved and cared for anyone and everyone that she met which made her become a second mom to some. Her presence was such a peaceful bliss, and her absence will leave a deep hole in many of our hearts. A mother’s love and presence is something so sacred all children whether they are grown or not will forever need. I never imagined losing my mom so soon but God loved her so much too and thought it best to bring her back home. Our family’s loss has left us devastated. We never planned or prepared for something this tragic. It would mean the world to my family if you could contribute by any means.
