Like a lot of us, Dawn and her husband Joe are busy raising their 3 young boys. Both work fulltime and Dawn goes to school in evenings to fufill her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse. The rest of their time is spent between boy scouts, Seahawks football, soccer, and wrestling. Joe has also spent a number of years serving as PTA president of Savin Rock School. They give to their community and now they need the community's support.
This past Sunday, Dawn was home, when she started having a severe headache that kept getting worse until she could hardly hear. The pain was so severe, she called her husband at work. Joe spoke to his son David-11, and said he was 10 minutes from home and on his way, and both parents told him to call 911. David kept his head clear, called 911, and gave them very specific directions to their house, quite possibly saving his mom's life.
Dawn is in the hospital now, facing what will be a very long and expensive recovery, due to a brain aneurysm. Her prognosis is still unclear as it changes from day to day. Joe has been by Dawn's side since Sunday. Joe does this while keeping a smile on his face but we can see the burden of expenses is taking a toll on him. As you know, parking and meals at the hospital are expensive, adding to the fact that he is currently out of work. We thought that the best way we could help them is to try to ease the financial burden a little. Joe and Dawn would not appreciate a handout, and this is not one. This is a helping hand to a couple that gives of themselves.
If you can help them it would be greatly appreciated, however, PRAYERS are always welcome.
This GoFundMe was created for Dawn and her family by her longtime co-workers Brigitte & Michele.
