Hi, my name is Chelsea Nelson. I am 23 years old and I live in the rural area of Eureka, CA. I work full time at a local hospital as a Phlebotomist, and now I am a patient once again... and I need your help.

At the age of 13 I was diagnosed with severe Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Disease. The next six years were filled with debilitating, life interrupting pain. Four surgeries, horrible medication treatments, trips to USC and UCSF for medical consultations and treatments, a huge amount of medical related debt, and ended with a total hysterectomy at the age of 19.

After the hysterectomy I had a couple of good years and I thought I had won the fight, but I was wrong... Last year my endometriosis returned, and I am back to day after day horrible pain, along with other horrible symptoms and more debt.

Now I am going to have to drive 6 hours out of the area to UCSF for medical care, treatments, and surgery because local OB/GYNs don't have the resources to help a complicated case like me. .
