Almost 4 years ago in August of 2011 Tim was diagnosed with stage 3 Testicular Cancer.
On August 31st Tim had a Radical
Orchiectomy surgery done to remove the effected testical. He also had two lymph nodes in his abdomen that the doctors were worried about. Chemotherapy was in order.
Tim had to undergo another procedure where he was put under sedation to have a port put in so they could administer the chemo.
December 26th Tim started his first of what would be 3 rounds of chemotherapy. During this time I withdrew from Cosmotology school and found a job to help ends meet while Tim was out of work.
On January 4 2012 (Tim's Birthday) And after 4 months of trying to get pregant I found out I was in fact pregnant! It was a blessing not just because we were having a baby and needed something to lift our spirits but because the doctor had told us that if we planned on having children to try now before Tim started chemo. To this day we still don't know if we can have anymore children.
During these desvistating couple of months of chemo Tim also had to have a blood transfusion, hospital admission for a high fever, and chemo sessions rescheduled due to low blood counts.
Through help from family, great friends, fundraisers and donations we were able to stay afloat financially.
This was the worst time in our lives. We're so glad he is healthy now and cancer free!!
Unfortunately almost 4 years later we are still having financial struggles from Tim missing 4+ months of work and the countless medical bills that have piled up and only one income.
We both feel the same embarrassment asking for help but at this time we are desperate. If you could find it in your heart to help in any way it would mean the world to our family.
