The cancer killer fund
Our Story.
My husband, Ryan Keck, was diagnosed the week of Christmas with Squamous Cell Carcinoma on his tongue. We spent several days in shock because Ryan is a very healthy father and husband who has never smoked or chewed tobacco and had no risk factors. The doctors are convinced that he must have been exposed to some chemical that "caused" his cancer. He was sent to Roswell Cancer Center for treatment and we have received wonderful and compassionate care. His mother, Lynn, and I have been making the 2 1/2 hr drive with him several times each week as Ryan is no longer able to drive.
On February 4th Ryan is scheduled to undergo major surgery at Roswell. The surgeons will be removing half of his tongue, the floor of his mouth and all of the glands and lymph-nodes on the left side of his neck. They are going to rebuild the area using skin/tissues from his arm. He will come out of the surgery breathing from a trach tube and being fed from a tube to his stomach and they will be in place for some time. The recovery is going to be long and difficult because he will need to "re-learn" how to speak and eat and there will be months of therapy.
Ryan is the sole provider for our family and we have a 2 year old little boy (Douglas) and a baby on the way and expenses are adding up quickly. A long term hospital stay, hotel expenses and gas are eating away at our budget and as of right now we don't have any income. Please help as you feel the Lord is leading you. We welcome your prayers and support.
With love in Christ,
Francesca and Ryan Keck
