Fight For Tina

Tina Edwards was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in June of 2013, days before her 31st birthday - acute meaning the cancer came on with no signs or symptoms. A fundraiser was initially held in Tina's hometown of Ucluelet to help raise funds in this time of shock to Tina and her family. Immense support from the community helped Tina and her family temporarily reside in Vancouver, where Tina could receive proper care and treatment for her cancer. After a long battle of treatments, further complications, and to be honest a few scares almost costing her life, Tina was finally released from the hospital in the summer of 2014 to return home to heal in Ucluelet, with her family and friends by her side. Due to recent complications of her medication, Tina is currently back residing at Vancouver General Hospital. Tina's highly devoted husband Cam has spent countless amounts of time travelling to the mainland to the aid of his wife; returning to Ucluelet on a weekly basis, to operate their own business, Offshore Seafood Restaurant, meanwhile helping his father operate another family business of crab fishing outside Tofino. This account has been developed to help relieve the financial pressure of medication costs, travel/accommodation costs, and the unknown amount of time Tina will remain at VGH. Tina still has a long battle ahead of her and we ask that please, let's finally bring home a healthy and happy Tina Edwards. Find the generosity and kindness to help our friends in this time. Tina and Cam would be forever grateful, once again. Tina's spirits grow with the consistent strength and support of her small town community - kind words and well wishes are always welcomed by the family and every word is passed on to Tina. We thank you in advance.
