Hi

My name is Julie and I was married to Peter for almost 44 years when he sadly passed away suddenly to a massive heart attack.

We were never rich only in love and now things are going to be very difficult. 

I would like to buy a bench and put it in the Homestead Park in York, as Pete loved it in there. I would like to get a plaque to put on it so that myself and my daughter can go and sit and think about him.

I am struggling to manage at the moment as I applied for Bereavement support and have been turned down as Pete actually died on the day I became a pensioner. The rules are that you have to be under state pension age to get this. As he died on the actual day their decision is that I became a pensioner before he died. I do intend to appeal the decision and even take this all the way to the top as I think it’s totally unfair.
