Patricia Arbuckle suffered complications as a result of a major ischemic stroke on February 28th, 2022. Her life has been put on hold due to a clogged artery in her neck and a blood clot in her brain. As she suffered the stroke on the left side of her brain, her right side, which is her dominant side, is affected. Her cognitive domain, which encompasses attention, memory, language, and direction, has also been temporarily impacted. Because she is currently unable to work, the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, her employer at the time of the sad tragedy, has provided her with temporary insurance.
As many of you are aware, insurance assists you in preparing for rehabilitation, but it does not cover you while you are recovering. My children and I are asking for your help in assisting her in regaining a feeling of normalcy that she can be proud of so that she can return to work and do the duties of Director of Human Resources for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office. Her recovery will entail stocking her home with the essentials to help her function at her best. A curved rail chair lift for access to her second-floor bedroom, adaptive utensils, temporary bed railing, a Tempur-Pedic mattress (bedding, sheets, and coverings), outpatient rehab expenses, an adjustable base, additional handrailing throughout her home, in shower hand railing and chair, adjustable shower arm to use while sitting, non-slip mats and rugs, support chairs, Motus hand and foot in-home rehab tools, adjustable seating to assist with standing, and in-home physical therapy equipment are among the goods.
She is undergoing treatment by the best medical personnel in Houston, and we remain hopeful she will be restored. As previously stated, Patricia was the Director of Human Resources for the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at the time of the incident, a position she adores and is very happy to hold. Skyler will graduate from SMU's Deadman School of Law in May 2022. Braden will graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in the fall of 2023, after which she will pursue her Master's degree in ABA at the university of her choice. As you can see, Patricia is a brilliant and accomplished HR professional with two daughters who are smart young women who deserve to see her regain as much of her former self as possible. Her family could certainly use your help.
All proceeds will be used to cover house preparation following her stroke, medical expenditures, and any gap in living expenses if an extended period of time off work is required.
"Be worried about nothing, but in everything, through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God," Philippians 4:6 says. We appreciate all of your prayers, and we implore you to make your wish for Patricia known to God, and then to meet us at the end of her recovery.
