Support a mother battling cancer

Life can be cruel, and there are times when it plans to take away those who do the most good in this world.

Teba is my father's wife, a young mother of two small children, from Asturias. She received the bad news that she has uterine cancer almost a year ago. What at first seemed to be just a trip to the hospital for a surgery, has turned into a hell for more than 8 months.

At first they tried to stop the cancer with radiotherapy, but her body weakened to the point where she could no longer receive it. After travelling to different cities in Spain, being admitted to different hospitals, the public health system gave up on her case, and sent her to palliative care.

My father, who has stopped working and has devoted himself 100% to her and her small children, has not stopped for a single minute in trying to find alternatives, solutions, medicine or any help that could save her life or extend it.

As a last resort, he has decided to take her to a private clinic in "El Centro Medico de Asturias" (Spain), where she has been admitted for a more aggressive chemotherapy, but which could easily kill her. This is the only thing they can do, or the life expectancy is less than two months.

This Gofundme campaign is important to us. We need help to pay for his hospital stay and treatments, as his health insurance has refused to cover the costs. Not only that, but my father is left with two young children to care for, who after all this trauma, will most likely be left without the opportunity to grow up with their wonderful mother.

The whole family is trying to help and support financially, but we need more help, even if it is little, we will be eternally grateful.

La vida puede ser cruel, y hay veces que planea llevarse a los que más bien hacen en este mundo.

Teba es la mujer de mi padre, una joven asturiana madre de dos niños pequeños. Hace casi un año recibió la mala noticia de que tiene cáncer de útero. Lo que al principio parecía una simple visita al hospital para una intervención quirúrgica, se ha convertido en un infierno durante más de 8 meses.

Al principio intentaron detener el cáncer con radioterapia, pero su cuerpo se debilitó hasta el punto de que ya no podía recibirla. Después de viajar a diferentes ciudades de España, de estar ingresada en diferentes hospitales, la sanidad pública se desentendió de su caso, y la envió a cuidados paliativos.

Mi padre, que ha dejado de trabajar y se ha dedicado al 100% a ella y a sus hijos pequeños, no ha parado ni un minuto en intentar buscar alternativas, soluciones, medicamentos o cualquier ayuda que pudiera salvarle la vida o alargarla.

Como último recurso, ha decidido llevarla a una clínica privada en "El Centro Médico de Asturias" (España), donde ha sido ingresada para una quimioterapia más agresiva, pero que podría matarla fácilmente. Es lo único que pueden hacer, o la esperanza de vida es de menos de dos meses.

Esta campaña de Gofundme es importante para nosotros. Necesitamos ayuda para pagar su estancia en el hospital y los tratamientos, ya que su seguro médico se ha negado a cubrir los gastos. No sólo eso, sino que mi padre se ha quedado con dos niños pequeños a su cargo, que después de todo este trauma, lo más probable es que se queden sin la oportunidad de crecer con su maravillosa madre.

Toda la familia está intentando ayudar y apoyar económicamente, pero necesitamos más ayuda, aunque sea poca, estaremos eternamente agradecidos.
