A little bit about me. I am 27 years old and a student at Kalamazoo Valley College. My main hobbies are riding and showing horses, spending time with family and friends, and my cat, Benzy. I love animals, being outdoors and staying active.
Without going into too many details, out of respect for others involved. On July 21, 2019, I was involved in a firework accident that has put me in the hospital. I have 3rd degree burns on both of my legs, starting below my knees and down, and also my feet. I have burns on my right arm. I have burns on my butt. I cannot walk. Both of my ear drums are ruptured, right being the worst. I will need skin grafts on my left leg and foot. I have sutures on my left foot. The bottom of my feet are completely burnt. I am so uncomfortable and in so much pain right now. I will be here an unknown amount of time, and off work for months. I am suppose to start school in September I am praying I will be able to do that. While I am grateful that I will make a recovery, the reality of being off of work and everything else will over whelm me.
For those of you who know me personally know that, I would do anything for just about anyone. Right now, this is a very hard time for me to even ask for help, but I know I'll need it. It is sounding like the road to recovery will be long, but with the support and love I will get through this. Any donations will be greatly appreciated from the bottom of my heart.
I am very fortunate to still be here. I am fortunate that I will be okay. Thank you all for the love and support. It means so much to me and I will never forget any of you who helped me during this time of difficulty. Thank you to the Doctors, Nurses, and Nurses Aids who have made my time here at Hurley a pleasant experience.
