Rob Gilmore was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis 15 1/2 years ago! Over the years his MS has progressed to the point where he no longer has use or control of his legs. He is also loosing his eye sight, ability to speak, and suffers from uncontrollable tremors (the shakes). This new wheelchair is custom built to his measurements. It has a custom head rest, adapters for his knees so his knees are brought in to prevent injury and keep his hips healthy (he is unable to do this on his own). It has foot and ankle straps to keep his feet from falling off the foot rest so he will not run over them, preventing any injury. It has electronic leg lift so his legs straighten out and prevent swelling and pooling. The seat tilts back to provide much needed pressure relief on his back side and skin deterioration. His insurance approved and paid for 80% of this $20,000.00+ wheelchair, but there is still a balancing of around $5,000. Being on a disability income, this puts a strain on his financial situation! Any donations would be greatly appreciated. If you cannot donate please consider helping by sharing this with your friends and family. On behalf of myself (his sister), his wife Danielle, and Rob we thank you in advance for all of your generosity and help.
