Help Tiffany Regain Her Independence after a sudden stroke

Tiffany Wilson is one of the strongest, most loving women you’ll ever meet. She has spent her life caring for others — a single mother, raising her four boys into men with little to no help, always showing up for her grandchildren, and offering love and guidance to everyone around her. With a presence that can warm any room, a spirit that can brighten the cloudiest of days, a heart that’s bigger than her body, she is the perfect representation of comfort.

Just six days ago, Tiffany suffered a severe stroke. She was hospitalized at MercyOne in Des Moines and discharged after nearly a week long stay. Initially, The stroke caused complete paralysis on the right side of her body, loss of vision in her right eye, and an inability to speak. Though she is no longer dealing with paralysis, she was left with a loss of strength and fine motor function on her right side, and she is experiencing aphasia (impaired ability to produce speech), and potentially other complications yet to be discovered. Her independence is now uncertain, and her recovery will depend heavily on medication, therapy, and support from those around her.

Tiffany’s life now depends on critical medications like apixaban (Eliquis) to thin her blood and metoprolol succinate (Toprol-xl) to regulate her heart’s atrial fibrillation — the underlying cause of her stroke. She will also need ongoing doctor visits, physical and occupational therapy, and support for living expenses while she heals.

Her family has stepped in to be with her at home, taking turns caring for her around the clock. But even with all of us by her side, the costs of her recovery are overwhelming — and the applications for financial assistance take time.

We’re reaching out to you, our community, for help. Donations will go directly toward:
• Medications and doctor visits
• Physical and occupational therapy
• Living expenses and bills
• Lost wages from her inability to work

Every dollar helps bridge the gap between her immediate needs and the long-term assistance that will support her recovery. Your support means giving Tiffany a fighting chance to regain her independence and continue being the incredible mom, grandmother, friend, and person we all rely on.

We ask for your love, your faith, and your determination to help Tiffany in this critical time. Every donation is significant, and even just a prayer for her recovery means more than words can express. Together, we can ensure she gets the care she desperately needs to recover and thrive.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
