Help the Peries Family Recover from the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Devin Peries, and I’m reaching out for help on behalf of my family during one of the most challenging times of our lives.
On January 8th at 4am, we were woken from our sleep to the overwhelming smell of smoke. The Eaton Fire had reached our neighborhood in Altadena, and our home of 21 years was quickly engulfed shortly after evacuating. We had no time to gather most of our belongings. However, we are blessed that our family and two dogs made it out safely. In those terrifying moments, we left with just the clothes on our backs, later watching as everything we’ve built and cherished turned to ash.
Our home wasn’t just a house. It was my childhood home, where I grew up surrounded by love, laughter, and memories. It was also a place where my parents, who have always had the biggest hearts, welcomed others in need. Over the years, we opened our doors to friends and family who had nowhere else to go. My parents are incredibly hard workers, the kind of people who have always put others before themselves. But now, they’re the ones who need help, and it’s not easy for us to ask.
This fire has taken so much from us—our home, our stability, and countless irreplaceable memories. But it hasn’t taken our hope. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping my family and our two beloved dogs get back on our feet. If you’re unable to give, we would be deeply grateful if you could share our story or provide any useful resources.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for any support you can offer during this heartbreaking time. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
With gratitude,
Devin Peries and family
