Kyson Healing ❤️‍

On Monday May 23,2022 our 8 year old son, Kyson, was brutally attacked by a dog (an Akita) while he was playing in our neighborhood. His injuries were so extensive that he had to be transported by ambulance to Norton Children’s Hospital. It was decided there that he would need immediate surgery to repair the extent of the damage he endured. He underwent a 3 hour surgery which required over 300 stitches and a drain to be installed in his head. We were admitted to the hospital for 3 days following his surgery. We are now home and adjusting to our new normal. He requires around the clock care for now (wound dressings, medications, multiple doctors appointments with specialists). My husband and I have had to take off work to be able to provide the care he needs. We have 3 children together, a home and medical bills growing by the day. This will be years of healing to get back to our “normal” as a family. We are asking for financial assistance from our community so we can be there for him during this critical time and put all of our attention where it needs to be, with him and our family.
