Help for Parents Who Lost Their Young Child
Donation protected
After getting to know 25 year-old Eriene Haskie and 25 year-old Orlando Williams, it’s quite clear that they’re loving parents, an amazing couple, wise beyond their years, and sadly, they’ve experienced something in their young lives that’s cataclysmic.
Their baby, Kyren Williams was born with multiple health challenges, an unknown life expectancy, and by 8 months of age, when I met them, Kyren had already had 4 major surgeries on his brain and needed around-the-clock care because of his many illnesses and diagnoses.
Kyren was born with several life threatening conditions, including: Dandy Walker syndrome, Walker Warburg syndrome, and hydrocephalus. He was epileptic, had a g-j tube, a very abnormal brain, an underdeveloped left eye, and severe heart and kidney conditions.
Eriene, a certified pharmacy technician and Orlando, a skilled carpenter, were gainfully employed but couldn’t work for much of Kyren’s life because of the 24/7 care that he required. They didn’t have the funds for live-in help and there were no grants or any aid available to them so they cared for Kyren themselves.
When I started this fundraiser, Kyren was alive and Eriene and Orlando were hopeful that his condition would improve.
Recently, Kyren passed away. Eriene and Orlando are drowning in bills and debt. Month after month, for over a year, they had to scrape funds together for Kyren’s medicine and medical bills, on top of necessities like food, insurance and rent. They exhausted the savings they had and yet, throughout this ordeal they’ve been uncomplaining. They’ve accumulated debt and just had to pay for the cost of laying their baby to rest.
Eriene and Orlando need a break. They deserve a miracle. They don’t have enough funds and I know they’ll survive with our help. They need money and prayers and a village to give them hope, so I signed myself up to be a villager. Want to be a villager?
With just a little support and some funds from people like you and me, they will get through this They are such amazing people! I believe that they’ll go on to do something extraordinary and rock the world.
Thanks in advance for what you’re inspired to give and many thanks again to those of you who have so generously given already!
