Kyoto Surgery Fund

If you follow my Facebook page you know who I am and what it is I do. I am a Feral Cat Caretaker in Merriam, Kansas. Eight years now. Eighty-seven TNRs.

Last Saturday, 10/7/23, I was making rounds and servicing breakfast at the "Sonic House" station colony when... I felt "something" rubbing up against my leg. Looking down I saw two of the largest yellow eyes peering up at me.. and a little tiny voice... meowing. Second time in three years a Black Cat has sought me out during the Halloween season. Not a feral, this one..oh no, not at all. No... THIS... this poor soul was yet Another abandoned Innocent, dropped here because "they" know... "I" am here, and I turn none away. It's been done to me more than once before. And there was No Way I was leaving a black cat out on the streets during this season, besides the fact, as I said.. this was no feral cat.. this was an abandoned house cat, someone's "pet" .. they discarded.... and he will be dead in days left to his own devices. So I took him Home.

Got him in the vet, PetResource Center, for his check-up and all his shots, combo test... and to check out his right rear leg... with which SOMETHING was definitely wrong. "Kyoto", as I christened him, is a neutered male, double negative combo test, totally vaccinated cat now...

But... with a right rear leg that is TOTALLY SHATTERED.

How, when... no idea - hit by a car perhaps, When? recently. It is Not healed... at All.

Our Only option... is amputation.

My funding was $150 short at PRC and I was unable to pay his medical bill for even this morning's examination and shots... and now I will have to raise an additional $750 for his surgery. So I am beginning this GoFundMe on his behalf for $950 - $150 examination plus $750 surgery ... plus fees.

He is a truly Beautiful soul... and I will do everything I can.. everything that has to be done.. on his behalf. Then... he will retire, safely, securely... home with me. He is going nowhere. God brought him to me guided him to me... I will care for him.

My friends, I need to raise these funds as quickly as possible

so I can get Kyoto his needed surgery as soon as possible.

His leg has been totally SHATTERED, and he requires immediate amputation surgery before further complications develop.
