Kyndall's Heartbreak and Hopeful Future

Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Shaun , and I’m writing this with a broken heart for my daughter, Kyndall.
Kyndall has been riding and caring for horses for over four years, and it quickly became more than a hobby—it became her therapy, her safe space, and her passion. But more than anything, it led her to Josie—her heart horse, her best friend
As Kyndall says:
“She wasn’t just a horse, she was my person, just on four legs." From the moment they met they just got each other. She had her quirks, but so did she—and somehow, they just fit. Where others might’ve seen challenges, Kyndall saw heart and personality.”
Kyndall and Josie were inseparable for two unforgettable years. They did everything together—training, competing, and just spending quiet time in the barn. Most recently, they traveled 8 hours away to attend Martha Josie Camp, preparing for what we all believed would be their best season yet. Josie ran her heart out for Kyndall. Who woulda thought one week later, everything changed and her world would be turned upside down.
Josie colicked suddenly. We did everything we could, but it was too late. We lost her.
The grief has been overwhelming. Some days when its on Kyndalls mind, she likes to look to the sky to how Josie painted the sky (shown in picture). Her world feels quieter. She’s trying to figure out how and what todo without her best friend by her side.

Riding was more than a sport for Kyndall—it was healing. It gave her confidence, purpose, and peace. Josie helped shape the brave, compassionate, and driven young girl she is today. And while no horse could ever replace Josie, Kyndall is ready to begin a new chapter—to honor Josie’s memory by continuing to grow as a rider, and as a person.
We’re raising funds to help bring a new horse into Kyndall’s life—not to replace the one she lost, but to help her heal. The funds will go toward the purchase of a new horse, vet costs, and a few necessary items to get started again. We don’t have a set goal—anything helps, truly. Every little bit brings us closer to seeing Kyndall smile in the saddle again.
If you can donate or share this, we are deeply grateful. Thank you for reading her story and for holding our family in your hearts right now.
With love and hope,
