Kylie's Medical Miracle

My daughter Kylie has been officially diagonosed with Pediatric  Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal (P.A.N.D.A.S). Basically, it is an autoimmune disorder caused from the strep virus that attacks the brain & causes physical & psychological dibilitating symptoms.   Kylie used to be a happy, fun-loving little girl.  One day she woke up & this disorder had taken her away.  At age 5 she had strep 6 times & I began to notice symptoms of severe depression, anxiety & OCD. At that point she went in-patient at Cook Children's for medication management & intense therapy.  From that point, she would make small progress but they were short lived.  The past 3 years have been so hard for her. There is continued regression with her health,  academics & social interactions. We have seen numerous doctors to which only seem to be able to treat symptoms & not the root cause.  Recently, P.A.N.D.A.S. was brought to my attn as something I should look into.  There is limited options for the proper treatment here in Tx.  After much research, I found the Dr. Beth Latimer in Washington D.C. who specializes in treating this disorder.  We feel this is our best chance at getting our daughter back.   I have made her an appointment ThursdayNovember 4th. The doctors do not accept insurance (& that seems to be the case everywhere).
We are asking for help for the treatment cost & expenses involved with traveling to get her the help she needs.
