Hi!! I'm Kylie, and I need your help!

I am a performance artist and trans woman seeking help to get me through an intensive period of recovery from an upcoming surgery. This October I'll be undergoing major gender-affirming bottom surgery, and I need your help to stay on top of bills and rent during this time. Currently, I'm living paycheck to paycheck. I've done my best to save what I can over the last year or so, but the costs of general transitioning and HRT medication have eaten up so much of what I've been trying to save. I'm trying, really, but as the surgery date approaches closer and closer, I realize that I'm going to need help if I want to survive this period. It has been a LONG journey throughout this transition, and it's so exciting (and a little nerve-wracking!) to finally be at the precipice of this major milestone in my transition.

The initial recovery period after surgery is 3 months. During this time, aftercare for my surgery becomes my full time job- it's a round the clock commitment that will leave me no room at all for even a part time job. After these first three months, I should have more time in between post-operative care to actually maintain a part time position again, and work towards returning to a full time position. The funds you help me raise will allow me to safely recover from my surgery, to keep a roof over my head, and to keep groceries in the fridge.
