Support for Kylie Kandel
Donation protected
I am a mom of four amazing kids. children. Kylie (15), Kearstyn (11), Cayden (8), and Colby 6). Kylie, my oldest has a rare chromosome disorder. She was born at 3 pounds 15 ounces at 8 weeks premature. She has epilepsy, cerebral palsy, physical disabilities, cognitive delays, rheumatoid arthritis, and restrictive lung disease. We continue to seek the best opportunities for Kylie and we have definitely been on a wild journey. Kylie will celebrate her birthday January 21st.
I was employed as an intervention specialist and general education teacher before becoming a building principal. Her dad is a carpenter. We attend Grace Brethren Church in Wooster, where we recently moved to build a house which is handicap accessible. We put in a therapy pool in order to support Kylie’s therapy needs. This was essential because of her perpetual progressive diseases and the need to have her muscles stretched numerous times a week. She receives chemotherapy each Friday to slow down the progression of her arthritis. We recently learned that this is causing adverse effects in her blood and in other parts of her body.
Because of Kylie’s unique needs, working fulltime can be difficult. I want to give her the best experiences I can while she still has her mobility. I don’t know what type of support you are able to provide, but my prayer is that this information encourages some thought in helping a family who works hard, but just can’t do it all. Thank you for your consideration. Any monies raised will be put towards medical appointments, bills, and maintaining her therapy pool.
Many Blessings,
Kate
