Kylie is a beautiful 16-year-old that was diagnosed with a very rare cancer, (Neuroblastoma) this past February. Kylie has been receiving treatment at St. Jude Children's Hospital in Memphis Tennessee.
Kylie is in her 10th month of an 18-24 month treatment. She has completed six rounds of Chemotherapy (March-June,) a major surgery on June 2nd, a Stem Cell transplant (July-September,) and is finishing Radiation (October-November.) She will be going into antibody treatment over the course of the next 6 months.
Kylie's family has chosen St. Jude as they are the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. This type of cancer almost always affects children. St. Jude has created more clinical trials for cancer than any other children's hospital in the United States. A new Anti-Neuroblastoma antibody is currently being made at St. Jude to provide another tool for destroying any remaining microscopic disease.
Donations will go directly to the family for travel (they live 3.5 hours from St. Jude in Nashville) and aren't able to take advantage of the campus housing because Kylie has 4 siblings (Cash, 13, Quinn, 11, Blake, 9 and Ryder, 1)and there is a max 4 occupancy. It will cover monthly expenses while away from home; apartment rental near St. Jude, living expenses while unemployed and round-the-clock childcare.
We pray for God to comfort, guide and provide for all this family needs. Kylie is responding well and doing great. With everything she has been through this precious angel continues to smile. She is truly an inspiration to all and her joy brings such warmth to all our hearts.
