Kylie & Joey’s 5K

On Saturday 21st September, myself and Joey will be running the Brigg 5k park run to raise money for Leeds neonatal unit (L43) & Eckersley house. On the 18th September 2023 we got the news that our baby was going to be poorly. It consisted of a lot of appointments, scans & bad news. We was then placed under the care of Leeds, who gave us the best of the best care. On the 27th December 2023 Ophelia was born prematurely along side an anomaly too, which meant she needed the best team around her to give her the best chance and that is what they supplied.

Eckersley house gave us a home from home experience. They made this journey feel a little easier by taking away the worry of paying for an apartment for me during our stay as their accommodation is 100% free.

We want to give back to those people who saved our girl and who made it possible for us to be at her bedside during the most uncertain time of our lives.
