Kyle's Second Wind

Donation protected
Loved dearly by his family and friends for his groan-worthy dad jokes, Kyle Lysek is the kind of man that goes out of his way to put smiles on the faces of everyone he meets--a real friend to all. Not only is Kyle a friend to many, but he is also a father to two wonderful children, Evan (15) and Grace (9), and a loving husband to his wife, Sarah. Kyle served his country for 8 years in the Army Reserve as a Drill Instructor. Unfortunately, beneath his warm and jovial demeanor for which everyone knows him, Kyle struggles with a rare and life-threatening condition called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. This debilitating disease causes scarring in the lungs that increases over time, making it nearly impossible to for enough oxygen to enter the bloodstream. Kyle Never smoked ONE day in his entire life. This past May, Kyle was hospitalized and diagnosed with congestive heart failure due to lack of lung function. He now requires oxygen 24/7 and has to follow a low sodium diet. There is no cure for this condition.  Kyle is in desperate need of a double lung transplant. In order to be placed on a lung transplant list, he is obligated to prove that he has $10,000.00 minimum ($25,000.00 is reccomend by Cleveland Clinic) available to cover the expenses of this procedure. Friends and family are doing all that they can to help raise these funds, but we need your help to reach this goal.  In this city, the City of Good Neighbors, we don’t turn our backs when our fellow Buffalonians need help. We’re known for going out of our way to lend a hand to those in need. One of Kyle’s favorite songs is the theme song for the Liverpool soccer team, “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Would you please consider a donation towards Kyle’s lung transplant expenses? It would mean the world to him, his wife, his children, and all of the people who love him. It would mean that one of your own Buffalo neighbors will someday have the chance to meet his grandchildren. It would mean that Kyle can continue to laugh and encourage the people he encounters everyday. It would mean that he can have enough breath to keep cheering for the Buffalo Sabres for years to come. It would mean that Kyle will not have to walk alone, thanks to your generosity.
