Recently our family got the news that Kyle has been diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma originating from the tonsils. The treatment for this cancer will be 7 weeks of radiation and chemotherapy all taking place at sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. As we have full confidence in the outcome of this treatment the journey will of course come along with difficulties. One of the difficulties I’m hoping to eliminate is the stress of expenses for treatments not covered by health insurance, travel and accommodation fees and house hold expenses while Kyle is unable to work.
