Kyler's Path to Recovery Needs You

Many of you know Kyler, the firecracker she is and all she does for our community.

On Wednesday, May 14, Kyler went to the emergency room due to kidney stones and was transferred to Tulsa to the ICU. Once there, the doctors were able to determine that she was septic as well as in kidney and liver failure. She was placed on steroids, which caused her blood sugar to be high. On Thursday, May 15, she underwent emergency surgery to place a stent so that the stones and toxins could pass through. She also required multiple blood transfusions. She has an infectious disease team working on her case to ensure she makes a full recovery. She has been able to move to a regular room and will be coming home in the next few days, but recovery will be a long road.
