Kylee & Justin's Medical Fund

As many of you know, when Kylee and Justin found out they were pregnant they were so very excited and later found out they were not only having one baby but blessed with twin boys. Unfortunately, with any twin pregnancy you are at a high risk of complications especially if you are carrying identical twins. Kylee and Justin’s twins began suffering from twin to twin transfusion or TTTS. TTTS affects identical twins who share a common monochorionic placenta. The transfer causes the Donor twin to have a decrease in blood volume, the recipient twin becomes overloaded with blood, the overload puts a strain on the babies’ hearts and brains, which can cause failures. There is nothing the mother can do to prevent or stop twin to twin transfusion, except to be monitored closely, as you already are while pregnant with twins. Kylee was monitored very closely, and because of this they were able to see the twin to twin transfusion happening. Kylee and Justin had to fly to Seattle Washington to have surgery on March 13th.  Kylee underwent a scary surgery called Laser Photocoagulation, it is the use of laser energy to seal the communicating blood vessel on the surface of the placenta, which helps prevent the donation of blood and nutrients from one twin to the other. There are many risks to the surgery, but there are more risks that could result if the surgery was not performed.  As time has gone on Kylee and Justin have learned from the specialists in Denver, that although the surgery was done successfully, one of their sons is not going to survive as he unfortunately had already suffered (had) too much damage to his heart and brain. Kylee is still carrying both babies so the baby who was not the recipient of too much blood can continue to grow and become strong for delivery. As a result of these very complex circumstances Kylee Doctors have told her that she must remain in Denver for the remainder of her pregnancy. Doctors are doing everything possible hoping that Kylee will continue to carry her boys as long as possible. When the twins are born, the sick baby will get to spend a few moments with mom and dad before he passes away and the other twin will hopefully be completely healthy and get to come home quickly with mom and dad. However, they already know that because she will not carry them to full term he will remain in Denver for possibly 6-8 weeks after birth in the NICU.  Kylee and Justin have been so strong while struggling through this entire pregnancy and there are not words to describe their love for both of their children and their unbelievable strength after being dealt the worst hand life could ever possibly deal a parent.  They have been blessed with many wonderful people in their lives and will appreciate any support and help any one is able and willing to give. The surgery in Seattle was quite costly as well as having to live in Denver and having all the medical interventions that insurance is not going to cover, so please if you would like to help financially, any financial donations would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to give a gift other than your encouragement or on this go-fund-me please PM or text me Brittny French [phone redacted] she will be available so you can deliver anything to her home and she will make sure Kylee and Justin receive the gifts or cards when the time is appropriate. Thank you everyone for your support, Justin and Kylee appreciate it more now than ever.
