Kyle and Faith's Guatemala Trip

Faithful friends and family, it is time to hit the mission field again…. Only this time I get to take my HUSBAND! Kyle and I have been happily married for six months now and we love married life. Along with being newlyweds, we are also finishing our degrees at Lee University and we will both graduate next summer (August 2015). We are so excited for what God has been doing in this new season of our lives and the doors of opportunity that He has been opening have been amazing. One of these opportunities is for us to go to the country of Guatemala in May. This trip to Guatemala will be my sixth time doing mission work in this beautiful country, but it will be Kyle’s first time to Guatemala. Kyle and I both know that God has called us to be in ministry and we are so excited to go on our first mission trip as a married couple and do ministry together.
Kyle and I will travel with Global Infusion ministries to Chiquimula, Guatemala. During our time there we will be working in the public school systems teaching English and evangelizing to the children and their families in the community. We will also be working with our contact’s local church whose congregation is growing because of the church’s desire to see their city come to know Christ. We will go into the mountains and take food to unreached people groups who have never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ before. The people in these villages make less than $2 a day and are starving most of the time. So we will get to fill their bellies with rice and beans and fill their hearts with the love of God. Every year that I have been to Guatemala, the Lord does extraordinary things and God always sets up divine appointments for us to reach people who are in need of a Savior.
As many of you know, traveling is not free. Our trip will cost in total about $4,000 for the both of us to go. I know that God will supply all our needs as He always does. Please pray and ask the Lord if he would have you give towards this incredible opportunity that we have. Every donation that is given will go towards making an impact in the lives of the Guatemalan people. You can take part in lives being eternally changed. Kyle and I desire to do the will of our Father and we believe this is a God-ordained opportunity as well as a biblical mandate for us as servants and followers of Jesus Christ. It’s because of faithful, giving people like yourself that we get to walk in the will of the Lord and take the Gospel to hurting people.
On top of financial donations, we are asking each of you to partner with us in prayer. Cover our finances in prayer as we begin this fundraising process together and cover the country of Guatemala in prayer. Please pray that God would begin preparing the hearts and lives of those we will impact. The country has no official religion, but the majority of people consider themselves Catholic. The Catholicism that is in Guatemala is also mixed with some other religions and beliefs which leave most people confused as to what they truly believe. There is about 11% of the country that do not consider themselves part of a religion. Guatemala is in need of a Savior that gives them hope and eternal security. We are only 3 months away from boarding a plane, so to say that we are excited is an understatement! Please help us make this trip possible!
