Please keep Kyle in your thoughts and prayers as we embark on a difficult journey ahead. Some of you may know that Kyle has suffered an extreme relapse regarding his Lyme infection. And most of you know that Kyle has been battling Chronic Lyme Disease for almost 5 years now. While we had tried out best to mitigate the effects of Kyle's infection, we never truly had to tools we needed to eradicate his infection completely. Kyle was surviving on minimal funds and treating to the best of his ability, which proved to not be to the level that was necessary.
Kyle has just recently been able to afford health insurance, but that does not alleviate all of our financial stress. For those that do not know, Lyme Disease is a very controversial illness and most treatment and appointments that are needed are not covered by insurance.
Recently, Kyle has seen numerous specialists in order to ensure he is healthy enough to move forward with an intense treatment protocol. He has visited the ER countless times due to debilitating and terrifying symptoms that plague his every day.
Kyle has been unable to work for almost four months and has hardly found himself anywhere beyond the couch or bed. It hurts me to my core to hear him say things to me such as, "I want to stay with you, I don't want to leave you, I don't want to leave this world." Kyle is terrified and has only an increasingly strenuous treatment ahead. One thing we can relieve together is the stress of worrying whether or not we can afford the medicine he needs to not leave us.
Asking for help can be difficult in any circumstance, especially financial help. We've pondered the idea of a fundraiser in the past many times but currently, it seems we have no choice but to ask for help. We must treat his infections now and hard so that Kyle can stay with us. Whatever you can do, please share with page and pray for Kyle during this incredibly difficult time. I would go further into detail but our lives are so consumed by this battle that time is precious.
