Kyle T Collard - biggest life battle, Alzheimer’s
Donation protected
Kyle T Collard takes on the biggest battle of his life - Alzheimer’s Disease!
We are asking for your help due to a life-changing disease and the lack of income to support it.
Kyle T. Collard was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s last year at age 64 and, unfortunately, the disease is accelerating rapidly. During the 7 month diagnostic process, his Alzheimer’s progressed at the pace it would normally do in 7 years.

Kyle cannot be left alone and has extremely limited comprehension, thus he needs a full-time caregiver for his safety and well-being. He has no long-term disability and is not eligible for free Medi-Cal. Additionally, due to the prohibitive cost of hiring someone, Monica, his wife of 26 years, had to leave her job to be Kyle’s full time caregiver.

Kyle and Monica sold the mobile home that they purchased two years ago because they no longer have the income to support it. They are trying to purchase another mobile home that is less than half the price of the one that they sold. The equity from the sale of their first mobile home is enough to make a down payment towards another mobile home; but, due to limited funds, even a small monthly payment or rent is unaffordable. Thus, we seek your support to provide Kyle and Monica with a stable home during such a challenging time in life.
Although Kyle worked for AC Transit for many years, he was one year short of pension eligibility and thus has no retirement. Their current income is Kyle’s Social Security and a tiny pension from a previous job. Asking for help is a humbling experience, yet they need to turn to friends, family and even strangers to raise funds so they won’t end up homeless.

If you could support their GoFundMe by donating and sharing it with your network, it would be greatly appreciated. We know that money can be tight, so please know that every donation helps them towards their goal of raising the $66,000 needed for another mobile home. With secure housing they can focus on Kyle’s medical care and well being.
THANK YOU!
