Hello everyone!
UPDATE!!!!!
Coach Kyle is TRULY Kyle Strong!!!!
This morning, 01/13/2025 Coach Kyle received wonderful news from hospital staff. His Neurosurgeon team indicated Kyle's physiological and neurological as well as his cognitive acuity levels are "perfect" which is highly uncommon with patients who suffer an aneurysm as significant as his.
Coach Kyle is alive because of his high level of fitness and age.
With this remarkable news, COACH KYLE IS HOME!!!
He still has a long journey ahead of him, with restrictions and follow up drs.
He will be able to return eventually, but needs to take it slowly!
Please continue to pray for his continued health and healing so we can get him back on the field again!!!
We all know being a part of a soccer family is like no other. The relationships between families create a unique bond that is indescribable. Being a part of SA City creates this special community for us, but more importantly, they give us top-tier coaches.
Many of you know Coach Kyle. That sweet guy who is running from field to field, always helping with training, and does the BEST “sandwich method” with the girls. You will hear him, “What are you doing!? Get on that ball!!!… Ok sweetie, you are doing great!” all in the same sentence! We all love Coach Kyle!
On New Year’s Eve, Coach Kyle started his day as usual. He had several training sessions with players. Mind you, it was freezing that morning, but Coach Kyle was out there getting them built for continued success. Once done, he went to get some lunch and decided to get in a quick workout before he headed home. While working out, he suffered a brain aneurysm.
This is where his guardian angels started to work. Coach Kyle was transported, had surgery almost immediately, and they were able to save his life. Coach Kyle is a miracle. Most people do not survive brain aneurysms, but Coach Kyle is here with us.
He is still admitted in the hospital and faces a long journey ahead of him before he can return to the place he loves, the fields of SA City.
Coaching and training is his livelihood. He has two beautiful daughters, a wonderful son, and an amazing bodyguard named Caesar (his massive dog) all waiting for him to come home. Let’s support him and his family during this time.
The same way he always shows up for us, let’s show up for him and make him proud, SA style! It’s moments like these that remind us of the power of community.
