Kyle "Stratkat" Smith's Final Arrangements-Daydream Anatomy

Donation protected
I’m organizing this fundraiser to help cover end-of-life ceremony expenses and a small celebration of life for my best friend, Kyle Smith, more commonly known as "Stratkat" or "Daydream Anatomy."

Their family is going through an incredibly difficult time, and I wanted to help ease some of the financial burden during their grief.

Any funds raised will go toward end-of-life ceremony expenses and a celebration of life event. Any additional support will help the family with related costs during this time.

All funds raised will go directly to the family to help with these arrangements. Any amount of support is deeply appreciated, and even sharing this means a lot.

Kyle Matthew Smith was an American guitarist, music producer, artist and videography director.
In 2010, Kyle began producing electronic music under the pseudonym "Daydream Anatomy." Throughout the years, he released 16 albums. Other artists would even create their own remixes of his songs. Kyle would then compile them into remix albums and donate the sales revenue to charity. On YouTube, he has 1,910,304 views across 269 videos as of 12/18/25. Kyle's love of retro and "sprite-style" video games influenced the sound of his music, which was usually a blend between Electronic Dance Music and "Chiptune," a music genre built from the simple, digital tones of early video-game sound chips, bleeps and pulses. This led to Kyle developing his own style and building a fanbase on websites like Newgrounds and YouTube. Kyle's music appears in several games such as "Beat Hazard" and famous YouTube videos. Kyle was a huge supporter of independent artists and game design, which led to Kyle releasing royalty-free music packs for game developers, artists and youtubers to use in their projects for free as long as they listed him in the credits. Due to this, you can occasionally stumble upon Kyle's music randomly in YouTube Videos and Video Games! His music has been featured on huge YouTube channels including MaxMoeFoe. Kyle loved to support illustrators. He would often commission artists to draw him profile pictures for his social media accounts and cover art for his music. He has recurring original characters that appear on the cover art across his albums.
In 2022, Kyle co-founded a concept-driven metal band/video project called "Vilephile" in which he played lead guitar and was a lead songwriter, writing many lyrics for the band. Kyle loved spending time working on Vilephile's music videos as the main set designer and creative director, often spending hours designing props, creating concepts for music videos and providing lighting/camera equipment. Kyle aimed to create a fictional horror universe inspired by the decay of midwest american rural areas, horror movies, anime and mythology by delivering a mind-bending video production for each of the band's songs, thus creating "visual albums." Each member of the band is a "cryptid entity" - once part of the land or its history, now resurrected into flesh through the twisted magic of a farm witch named Vile Lynn. Upon the release of the band's first EP "All We Have Is Want" in 2023, Kyle's character was an undead cat-man cryptid entity, a reference to the online name "Stratkat" he used on social media. For Vilephile's second album "Kin", Kyle's character was "Kyle Vile" the pig-man, dawning a burlap hog mask and black overalls to reflect his love for pigs, making it a better fit for him.
Today, his spirit and creativity lives on forever through the art and music he left behind and the wonderful memories he made with all of his friends and family. You can find his solo music on YouTube, Bandcamp and other music services by searching "Daydream Anatomy" & his band and music videos by searching "Vilephile."
