Kyle Platts Memorial

Kyle Platts was well known throughout the biking community.  He initially made many friends through the Des Moines Cycle Club.  As his love of cycling grew, so did his motivation. He began training harder and participating in various endurance races growing his circle of friends even wider. 

Kyle passed away from sudden, unexpected health issues on 9/26/20.  “Friends of the High Trestle Trail” has 8 picnic tables at the Madrid trailhead and want to build a shelter/canopy for each table. We would like to collect donations to build one of these memorial shelters with a plaque to honor Kyle.  

Please consider making a donation & feel free to share with others who knew Kyle.  Any extra funds will be donated to the trails.
