This fundraiser was started by Kyle's sister in order to help alleviate some burden he will be feeling from having to be out of work while he is in hospital. Some may know and others may have not heard yet, but Kyle was hospitalized on Saturday 3/9/24 at Advent New Smyrna. He went to hospital with swollen face and neck, and a sore that had became a wound in his lower belly/ groin area. After evaluating him they admitted him to ICU with sepsis. After CT results came back they decided he would need to be transferred to Orlando due to the infection in his parotid gland interfering with his airway. Early Sunday he was transferred to Advent Orlando. By Monday the swelling in the neck had became so extensive his airway was compromised and they had to emergently intubate him and take to surgery to drain the gland. He has since undergone another surgery, where they remove a large area where the would on his lower belly/groin was located, and his opened his elbow after swelling and redness was noted there leading Dr's to believe the infection had moved to his joint. The infection is caused by a bacteria known as Strep A. It is a very aggressive bacteria that can be very deadly when infected with it. Kyle is still currently intubated and in ICU. Becky has been with him mostly and visitors are limited at this time due to risk of infection to others and him still being in ICU. If everyone could continue to pray for his healing as he has a long way to go and his status is still very critical. He has in the last day made small improvements in his WBC counts and kidney function. We are praying for a full recovery sooner than later! We all know how strong Kyle is we know if anyone can do it, it will be him! This gofund me will be shared to help pay his bills while in hospital and recovering, alleviate the burden to Becky being out of work and traveling to and from Orlando.
