Beloved Winnipeg Non-Profit Founder and Builder Needs Our Help!
Kyle Mason, primarily known to Winnipeggers as the founder of The North End Family Centre (which he ran for over a decade), has contracted a rare and dangerous virus, lodged in his spine, which landed him in hospital for over a month, and which will take several months yet to recover from.
In the meantime, Kyle is unable to work. Being self-employed, this has placed him in a situation where he needs the help of the wider community, friends and neighbours while he receives the medical attention and rest his body needs for full recovery.
We would like to raise $12,000 to cover four months of basic living expenses while Kyle attends to his healing.
Besides his work with the North End Family Centre, Kyle is the founder of the North End Christmas Toy Drive and Party, which annually provides hundreds of meals and toys for impoverished families and their children at Christmas time:
Kyle is also a cofounder of Kapabamayak Achaak Healing Forest, a sacred site for healing, contemplation, teachings, and ceremony.
Through his vocational choices and endless volunteerism, Kyle has shown he is committed to the community. It is now time for the community to show our commitment to Kyle.
The amount we've asked for is a bare minimum needed. Any money raised over $12,000 will give him a little more financial wiggle room, since the 4-month recovery time is only a best-guess.
Thanks, friends. Please share with anyone you think may want to help.
