Kyle Kusch’s Hospital Bills & Physical Therapy

I am looking to raise some money to cover the costs of my little brothers hospital expenses. I am his older sister, and with my dad being out of work right now we have found ourselves in a bit of a rough time, and he hurt his arm at work and is unable to get a job right now.

Kyle was swimming in our pool with me when he dove in, hitting his head on the bottom of the pool evidently breaking his neck. He broke c5 and c6 vertebrae’s in his neck. When it first happened he started drowning in the pool due to being unable to move any part of his body from the shoulders down. I had seen him right away and jumped in to lift him up when he told me he could not move. An ambulance was called and he was lifted out of the pool in a stretcher and taken to the hospital. 

He cannot stand on his own but he does have feeling in his limbs. He is incredibly weak but it’s started to wiggle his toes well and lift his arms, but is finding it very hard to move his hands and fingers. Everyday he is making improvements with him doing physical therapy. He has been in the hospital for 3 nights as of the time i am writing this. He will be transferred to children’s hospital within the next day or two. 

Kyle is a 15 year old boy who loves doing anything outdoors and has been playing football for many years. He is super kind and just the kind of kid everyone wants to be around. He’s a very silly person and always makes your stomach hurt from laughing anytime your around him. 

I am asking for donations to cover his ambulance rides, and he will need extensive physical therapy, as our insurance won’t cover it and money is incredibly tight right now. This is going to be a long and difficult healing process. Any money donated will also go towards getting him anything else he may need while at the hospital and at home afterward (food, blankets, etc.) anything will help, and i do understand times are incredibly tough for everyone right now.
