Kyla's Astroblastoma Brain Cancer Fund
Donation protected
On April 20, 2023, my wife, best friend, and mother to our three kids, Kyla was diagnosed with Astroblastoma. This type of brain cancer is super rare, accounting for less than 1000 cases in the US. She had this 3 times when she was a child, twice at age 5 and once at age 11. It stayed away from her for over 20 years but has come back. She had a 9 hour surgery on April 26th to remove a golfball size mass from her brain. She had another surgery 2 days later to remove a pinhead size they missed. She is in recovery and hurting, but she is a rockstar and doing her best to stay positive.
A little about Kyla, she is 32 yrs old, a Pre-K teacher, a awesome wife, daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Our kids are 17, 14, and 9. She loves her job teaching and is sad that she cant work right now. We are hoping she can return next school year.
Her recovery and treatment length is uncertain but her spirit and determination is unwavering. She beat this before and will again. We are asking for help with medical expenses, lost wages, and treatments. Any donation is much appreciated and will lessen the stress on Kyla and help with recovery.
