Out of a ton of crazy, random, yet purposeful connections, I have been given an opportunity to join a group of students From Forest Lake Christian High School as a staff member and leader on a missions trip to Japan! Japan is among the least-reached people groups in the world, with only 0.8% of the population claiming to know Christ personally. With that, we feel a great desire to go and spread the good news.
The trip dates are March 25th – April 8th of 2016. COMING UP QUICK!! While we are there, our team will be assisting the local missionaries through friendship evangelism. We will build relationships with junior and senior high-school students by teaching English, playing sports, organizing fun activities, and hosting a camping trip. Our partners in Japan, the Encompass World Partners, see this work as an important step in strengthening the local church there and increasing its outreach to the people on Iejima, a small island in Okinawa.
I have seen God move in some incredible ways over these past four years of my life, specifically, in using people for support and encouragement in my life. I understand that I simply can’t do this alone. I am just one person in the larger scheme of things in which God will use to make this ministry happen. I need people who will partner with me, who will help me reach the Japanese through prayer and financial provision. In hopes to plant a seed that continues to grow, I am seeking prayer partners who will pray for the ministry each day, starting the day you receive this letter. I also need those who can additionally support me financially. The trip will cost approximately $3,500. I am asking for your help to raise these funds. I am doing as much as I possibly can to raise these funds to make this mission possible, but again, I need your helping hand. It would not be possible without an abundance of love, prayer, and support and I want YOU to join me in this great opportunity.
