Hi, my name is Emma, and I'm fundraising to help my beloved dog, Kye, and American bulldog.
Kye is my best friend and a huge part of our family. He has always been a loving, gentle, and caring boy who brings so much happiness to everyone who meets him.
A few days ago, Kye suddenly stopped eating. We took him straight to the vets, where blood tests revealed that he has suffered severe kidney injury. He is now being cared for in hospital on intravenous fluids, medication and around-the-clock nursing while the vets do everything they can to help his kidneys recover.
At the moment, we still don't know whether this is an acute kidney injury that he may recover from, or an underlying kidney disease. The next few days are critical, and we are taking each day as it comes. We have hope he can make it, and so do

the vets
We did have insurance, but due to them letting us down, we cancelled it. He is now classed as having a ore existing condition so he cant be insured. The jnsurance refused our claim out right. As you can imagine, specialist veterinary care and several days of hospitalisation are extremely expensive, but I cannot bear the thought of finances being the reason Kye doesn't get every chance possible.
We have so far paid hundreds to the vets, who have also been great with us. But we dont have much more funds and unfortunately dont have people to rely on to ask for help. We both work, so this isnt just us asking for handouts.

07/07/2026 update-

Kye has been doing great. The vets are very happy with his bloods. He is due to start blood pressure medication and is (kind of) enjoying his new prescription diet. He will continue to need the prescription diet and medication and bloods will be around every 2-3 month, based on him doing well.

Anyone who knows Kye knows how special he is. Even while he's been in hospital, he's still been taking little walks with the nurses, accepting cuddles, and has even managed smile all the way through this.

If you are able to donate, no matter how small, every penny will go directly towards Kye's veterinary treatment, hospital care, medication and any ongoing treatment he may need.
If you aren't able to donate, simply sharing Kye's story would mean the world to us.

Update as of 24/07

Kyes doing so well. He is still admitted but his levels are coming down. They are looking more at acute kidney injury. Which coukd be due to an infection. Because of how well he is doing, which is amazing news. His bill is rising daily, and we are paying ehatbwe can. We have paid £1200 so far, owed 800 as of yesterday, but ut rises between £2-400 a day depending on what he has done.

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for giving our beautiful boy a chance.
With love,
Emma, Mya and Kye ❤️
