Ridglea Pool Accessibility
Donation protected
Family, friends, and fellow RPA members,
Please consider supporting our GoFundMe campaign to raise enough funds for handicap/stroller accessibility at Ridglea Swimming Pool in Fort Worth, TX. Our 9 year old son, Kye, suffers from Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy and this will be the first year he will not be able to climb out of the pool. RPA has been very accomodating and they have offered to put in a pool lift and ramp from entry to upper pool if we can raise the funds by May 1st.
Not only will this allow Kye to swim this summer at RPA, but these accomodations will make our swimming pool accessible to other handicapped and elderly individuals. In addition, the ramp would provide access from the lower to upper level for wheelchairs, strollers, coolers, and wagons.
We have been swimming at RPA for over 30 years and would love to continue our tradition. This would allow our family to stay involved at RPA, and honestly, would be a dream come true for Kye. Swimming is a way he can move freely, without being limited by his deteriorating muscles. He is now in a wheelchair 90% of the time. Help change his future today. Donate in honor of Kye and others who would benefit from these accomodations. Please share this on FB!
Pool lift - $5,000
Cement ramp - $5,000
Thank you,
Sean and Kelly Jacoby
